Dr. Kuehua Yuan Awarded 2024 National Natural Science Foundation Youth

Dr. Kuehua Yuan, a PhD student in the School of Computer Science and Technology, has been awarded the 2024 National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) Youth Basic Research Project (PhD) for her research on "Model Interpretability Mechanisms from the Multi-Granularity Uncertainty Perspective." This marks the first time the School of Computer Science and Technology at Tongji University has received this prestigious funding, and Dr. Yuan's project is the only NSFC PhD project granted to the school in this cycle. The project aims to address key challenges in model interpretability and uncertainty in artificial intelligence by using multi-granularity computation and uncertainty measurement methods. Under the guidance of Professor Duoqian Miao, Dr. Yuan successfully developed and defended her research proposal, securing the funding for her independent research.
近日,国家自然科学基金委公布了2024年国家自然科学基金青年学生基础研究项目(博士研究生)立项结果,实验室博士研究生苑克花申报的《多粒度不确定性视角下模型可解释性机理研究》成功获批立项。这是同济大学计算机学院首次获得该项目的立项,也是该学院唯一获批的博士研究生项目。苑克花是计算机科学与技术专业2022级博士生,师从苗夺谦教授,从事不确定性人工智能与大数据分析相关研究。
可解释性是人工智能在基础研究和产业应用中必须应对的关键挑战之一。本项目聚焦于模型可解释性与不确定性中的关键问题,利用多粒度计算和不确定性度量方法,提升模型可解释性,探索多粒度不确定性视角下模型可解释性机理。
国家自然科学基金青年学生基础研究项目(博士研究生)于2023年试点设立,旨在支持博士研究生独立开展科学研究工作,培养其在基础研究中的创新能力和综合素养。为助力博士研究生申报,实验室高度重视项目组织和辅导工作。在导师苗夺谦教授的悉心指导下,苑克花博士生顺利完成选题与答辩演练,最终成功获批立项。
